The price : $20.00When you hear the work “ionic” it’s kind of like the whistle for dogs that you blow but only dogs can hear it..how do you know it’s working?? Anyway I have the Ionic Breeze 2.0 in my bathroom that my two kitties have for there own. I keep their litter box cleaned regularly and was hoping this air freshner would help out in between but it doesn’t seem to make a big difference.
It leaves off a kind of bleach smell which seems to make you think something is being freshened but is not.. It also has a crackling noise to it on occasion, manual said if it’s dirty will do that but I’ve cleaned it alot and it will still do it frequently.
My initial “con” about this item was that it would work great, until I cleaned it, then suddenly it would never stop sizzling. I cleaned it over and over, to no avail…and then I discovered that the secret is to remove the cartridge (and clean it), and then SHAKE the unit (with the cartridge out) up and down, then rotate it, and shake….the beads inside clean out the particles that aren’t on the cartridge. Suddenly - quiet again.
I have mine in the bathroom with my cat litter and I can tell you that the litter smell is essentially gone.
