After two weeks, we noticed a big change in the air we breath and the amount of dust that collects on the tables. Also, the gas fireplace, which emits contaminates is also detected and removed. I plan on buying the FP-N40CX for the bedroom next week.

I’ve used it for about six months. Sleek and beautifully built, quiet operation, and overall very easy to use and maintain–nice, full featured remote too.

while it does appear to do an okay job of removing dust from the air, i’m not convinced that this is the best out there. consumer reports ranks it close to the bottom, with the bulky, industrial-looking friedrich c-90 taking top honors.

the friedrich is $100 more, but the Sharp isn’t cheap either. i paid $360 including shipping. for this price, i’d rather have an effective air cleaner than one that looks great.

Wouldn’t use anything else. Have the N40CX for the bedroom too.

Easy to clean and maintain. I have extreme allergies. So I bought a NEW house w/ hardwood floors too and I still had sniffles and such. After plugging this in for less than an hour the sniffles were gone and have been ever since. I had a Honeywell Hepa before and it died. This is so much quieter and seems to work so much better.

I also did a lot of research before purchasing. This is the best one!

I was searching for a high efficiency air filter that would remove pollen and tackle bird dander. I selected the PlasmaCluster FP-N60CX about three weeks ago and I cannot believe the difference it has made in my indoor air quality! It is so quiet that you cannot tell it is operating - but a quick look at the prefilter confirms that it is a workhorse! I highly recommend this filter!

With a cigarette smoker in the house and a pet dog, I tried several HEPA air purifiers.

The Sharp Plasmacluster was truly amazing. I put it on Auto setting and when a cigarette was lit up, the FP-N60X would almost instantly switch to “Clean” mode. The ions that flooded the room would magically dissipate the smoke. In fact, that’s what I could really, visibly notice. The smoke from a cigarette would hardly be produced as it would dissolve as soon as it appeared. And moments later there would be no odour, too.

The ease of operation, the beautiful design and efficient use of energy have made me a Plasmacluster fan.
