More than I hoped for
Pros: It REALLY Works! (so far). Very, very quit in night mode.
Weaknesses: Haven’t found any so far
My wife’s Dr recommended that we get a unit for the bedroom to help with her sinus issues.
I found a few review sites for air purifiers and this Sharp model was listed as one of the better models, especially in the $300 price range.
Well it isn’t pollen season, so I cant answer how this will do come Spring, but it sure does a great job with odor elimination, as cooking smells make it to the bedroom at times. Also a side benefit is that is keeps the dusting requirements down, which is nice when you have a big screen LCD in the room.
Operation is pretty straight forward, with a full function remote, but it does have a “mode” button on the unit so the Sharp isn’t useless if you lose or break the remote. Also you can clean the filters for what I have heard is up to a couple of years. In this regard this unit pays for itself versus some of the others where you have buy filters every 3 months.
If you need a purifier, I recommend this one. I’d have given it a 5 Star, but I have nothing to compair this Sharp against as it is our first Air purifier.
