Be careful what you pay for this. If you bought this from you would pay full advertised price, so you should always go through a dealer to avoid overpaying. You can almost always negotiate a better price from most dealers for this sort of thing.

You should also do a current price check at the Sam’s Club web site, which offers this very same purifier with a generic label for just $193 which is over $100 less:

This air purifier uses metal plates AND filters that you replace. In a way this is odd because the idea of using plates is that you should not need to buy filters. But the filter is still there anyway. So that means you not only have to clean the thing every time it gets dirty, you also have to spend money on filters. Kind of a double whammy. I’d consider the filters to be a little on the expensive side for almost $40 each. There is also a UV light bulb you will buy and replace whenever it burns out. If you have to replace these parts very often it is going to cost some real money.

This purifier has a dust sensor which is getting more common on purifiers these days. The dust sensor is supposed to turn it up when it detects some dust/pollution. But from what I read, most experts recommend you leave purifiers on all the time to benefit from them. Especially since a sensor will only detect pollution right at the purifier and not on the other side of the room. So this feature does not really seem practical, but more of a novelty. Every air purifier I have owned I have left on all the time unless it was in the bedroom.

This air purifier is on the bulky side, so you would definitely need a place to permanently put it. You will want to give that some thought or it might be an eye sore.

In terms of the cleaning ability, it does appear to do some cleaning just going by the filter. I am a little disappointed in the fan speed though (the highest speed is less than a bunch of the other purifiers out there.) It’s hard to tell whether the performance is really worth the price.

I am not sure I would say this purifier is better than others you see advertised like or Beach. Thinking about the cost of filters and the fan speeds available, one of those might be a better option.
