The other reviews hit the nail on the head. This is a VERY cheaply constructed product. But that’s not my biggest complaint.
My biggest complaint is that it just didn’t seem to do anything. After nearly 3 months of running it daily, I opened it up to check the filter. It was almost as clean as the day I started using it. Every air cleaner I have ever used before would have been filthy by this time. When I realized this I was well past my 30 days guarantee and they would not take it back.
As far as I am concerned, I just bought a very expensive house fan. Which I did not need.
If this had actually worked for me I wouldn’t be as bothered about the cheap aspects of it. Like the “pressure” type buttons (the ones that are like stickers, not real buttons). I have never liked that type of button. It’s been the first thing to wear out on other products I’ve had. I wish this thing had real buttons, instead of the cheap ones. Also the flimsy plastic in general, I do not like.
I didn’t really understand the “sanitizer” aspect when I bought it but it sounded good. Then I found out this makes ozone. When I looked this up more on the internet I found a lot of health web sites that said ozone is bad for you. The American Lung Association had some information that you should not use air cleaners that make ozone. So that concerned me. Then after I checked the filter I came to the conclusion this thing was just wasting my electricity.
So now I have a big plastic paperweight in my closet and the extra filter I bought (those are $32 which is not cheap.) My old Hunter (which still works good after 4 years) did better than this thing if you look at the filter. I think I won’t be buying anything on the internet for a long time after this. It is probably better to buy this type of product in a store where you can see it and it is easy to take back and get a refund.
