Hi I purchased an Xl air purifier roughly over 15 months ago. I did have a small problem with sparking. I brought the product in to my local store for a free tune-up and got it back a few hours later. They ran through a few tests on it and found I had a broken wire (which I had broken earlier by accident but didn’t tell them) trying to clean it. They repaired it and since then it has been quieter (no more cracking!).

I immediately noticed less dust on my walls, tv, computer screens, and windows as soon as it was plugged in. The beneifts were tremendous with this unit. I ended up buying 2 more for my dining room, and kitchen. I use to see a lot of dust, pollen, and mold spores floating in the sunlight during the evening but now its almost non-existant. I use to have a HEPA but through it out. was to expensive and didn’t get 1/2 the dust these units do. They only caught the larger debre. Mainly dogs hair.

I did try an I.Q. air as well for my office at work but had nothing but issues with it. It actually gave off a bad air (stunk) like it was about to catch on fire. We recently returned it and picked up two 8.5 tabletops which seem to work just as good if not better than the . I actually noticed this product was not reviewed (only the older models).

PRO %26 CON SECTION TO SHORT:

Saved over $150 when buy 2. Does come with a free tune-up service agreement (5 Years) to help keep the machine running quitely. I had an which had trouble. Tried bringing it to but could not be fixed (they don’t fix them). ’s has replaceable collector cells for waiting for it to be cleaned (Cost roughly $70.00)

Cons:

For smaller rooms under 600 square feet the New 8.5 tabletop seems to be more efficient. They are $469, with 2nd at 1/2 price. I wish I knew this 1st… These units are better for the size rooms I have at home and seem to be just as effective.

P.S. Have not seen a bad review on 8.5 models.
