I purchased 2 1000s and liked them so much I went back and bought 2 3000s, not the 300 Extreme. They looked about the same but the 3000 was quite bit less. One 3000 removed the basement smell from about a 1,400 sq ft finished basement and it makes the air smell very fresh. The other one is in my daughters room where she has a smelly ferret ( Don’t let your kid talk you in to one of them!! You’ll be sorry!!) The 3000 does an admirable job removing the ferret litter box smell, but I don’t think anything can get it totally!! They are just about totally quite at the high speed and we haven’t really had 1 cold or case of the flu in the 4 months we have had them!! Could just be dumb luck!! Shop around for the best price, check eBay, and check the completed item to see what the “Make an Offer” prices are. I have bought 2 1000s and 2 3000s and did not pay the $309 listed for the 3000s. Start offer low and get a counter! I also have 1 , and the units are superior! Check out company website for a lot more info.
