We don’t smoke or have pets and keep our house clean. I’m a doctor, and no I’m not worried about ozone. Only the misinformed and social lemmings believe that NxO (nitrous oxides) and VOC somehow convert into O3, three oxygen molecules. From what I’ve read nature produces more ozone to get rid of the pollution from cars, etc. What a joke, eh, to vilify oxygen when my work is healing many cancers with oxygen and also cleaning blood with ozone. Smog is caused by cars and factories and someone wants to convince everyone that oxygen is the villain. Having said that, I still wouldn’t use an ozone generator unless I smoked or had fire damage, that for sure. It does irritate the lungs in large amounts. The small amount of ozone and the negative ions this unit puts out however works great in our large bathrooms and in our cars. We live in SoCal and the smog here is terrible. The amount of O3 and neg-ions this unit puts out has improved our health I believe. And our bathrooms smells fresher with this unit running.

So my recommendation, get this for your bathroom and car, unless you live in a small home (under 1800 sq ft) then maybe throw them around. They’re dirt cheap and if you wash (or have someone wash) the cartridge and filters monthly, they work great and you can’t beat the price. I could afford more expensive units, but I know for a fact expensive HEPA filter machines are a rip-off. The majority of the junk in the air that gets deep into our lungs is under .30 micron in size. We’re talking VOC,s, viruses, fine dust, etc. Besides, the majority of the “dust” in the air comes from dead skin, and that’s constantly being put into the air. HEPA is only effective over .30 microns. And 80% or more of air pollution is under .30 microns. Do yourselves a favor and follow the EPA’s guidelines (ventilation, getting rid of pollution sources, etc) and use a good furnace air filter like 3M’s Filtrete ultra allergen, and if you need an air cleaner, get some of these cheapies and save your money.
