I’ve been using the IZ-270’s for over 1 year now. At first I bought 1 for evaluation. My initial impression is that it was too small to do much of anything, but I gave it a chance. I suffer from allergies and I sensitive to chemicals, so I thought I wouldn’t like the fact it put out some ozone.

I used the IZ-270 in my computer room. After 1 month, I noticed I wasn’t suffering from headaches as much and I did notice the air in the stuffy room smelled fresh, not stuffy anymore. The small amount of ozone didn’t bother me either. I guess that small amount of 03 had plenty of garbage in the air to oxidize and thus convert into oxygen. The negative ions helped get rid of the positive ions from the computer, thus giving me headache relief.

I then figured I should go ahead and buy a few more to spread around the house. I ended up buying 8 for around $20 each. The manual suggests cleaning every month my but I clean the filters and collector plates religiously every weekend. I simply go around and collect them all in a bag, throw the cartridges in the dishwasher and the filters in hot soapy water. Once the cartridge is dry, I install some of the extra filters that came with the unit and throw the washed filters in the filter bag for use in the coming weeks. Keeping the units clean makes a difference in the negative ion production I believe. The air in my home smells fresh and clean and I’ve suffer less from allergies than I did before the IZ-270’s.

Another thing I like about this product is the good service. They’re a small company and I can pick up the phone and talk to one of the company owners any time. Nothing has gone wrong with any of my units thus far, but if something does go wrong I’m sure it won’t be hard to get service. Compare that to doing business with a large company with operators that don’t have a clue. I’m posting my opinion here mostly because I read a few of the negative reviews and I just don’t believe what I’m reading, and that’s not fair to this start-up company. I’m sure they anger their competitors with their low prices, hence the questionable negative reviews. The owner told me that he always comments on each negative post and offers to fix any alleged problem with free shipping, etc, but not once has anyone taken him up on his offer. This is a good product, well built, and beats the pants off competitive higher priced models. So thinketh I.
