I was going to buy a Quadra until I started searching the web for reviews on ionic air purifiers. It was during this search that I learned of the more reasonably priced units available at less cost than the products. After comparing reviews I was hooked on the fact that the would be the replacement for my noisy HEPA type air purifier. The next day I went to my local Kohl’s department store, bought and brought home the . After unpacking and reading through the owners guide I plugged the unit in and turned it on. To my surprise, no motor noise, no rushing noise from a fan blowing air through a series of filters, and best of all within 15 to 20 minutes my family room smelled like fresh country air. I have heart disease and problems with congestion at night while sleeping. Didn’t notice any of these irritations at bed time during the first night. Even before going to bed that night my wife who is a smoker had her usual, before bed time 2 or 3 cigarettes which had caused me to sneeze even with the HEPA filter running. The smoke didn’t bother me With the turned on at the low setting. I am convinced this unit works as advertised and would recommend it to anyone. Can’t figure out why it has gotten any negative reviews, but I guess there are people out there who are never satisfied with anything, and just like to see their negative comment in writing.
