The looks very similar to the . The base is 8 inches by 10 inches and it stands 28 inches tall. The unit when operating normally is quiet like the since it has no fan to circulate air. We put it in our living room and felt it did an adequate job of cleaning the air in the living/dining areas. I has one control button that turns the unit on and adjusts the power level to high, medium, or low. We always ran ours on high.

We tried to research this model, read reviews on other sites and eventually decided to buy one. We didn’t really like the big white logo they put on the unit, but could live with that. The product feels cheap, but that would be ok. We had it for about 6 weeks. It worked OK during that time, but…

When it gets dirty, it’s noisier than the unit. It has a buzzing sound that it (in our opinion) more annoying that the constant hum of a fan. The “clean” light rarely comes on before the annoying buzz gets you to clean the unit.

It’s a real pain to clean. You can’t just pull the blades out. You have to sit this unit horizontally on its back to take the blades out and put them in.

Unlike the product, the metal they use for the blades doesn’t clean easy. We used the same cloth to clean both this and the units. This one easily took 2 to 3 times longer to get clean.

After you clean the blades, you’re supposed to let them sit for 24 (yes, I said 12, but went back and read the instructions– really 24) hours before putting them back in. That’s a pain since you want your air cleaner running all the time.

It has a wire cleaning mechanism that supposedly removes residue from the wires that are internal to the unit. This is supposed to quiet the unit when it starts making its buzzing noise. It was hard to even move the mechanism. Honestly, I’m not sure it does anything at all.

After 6 weeks, the “clean” light came on (which means the unit is no longer working and you must clean it to get it started again). We cleaned the unit. The light stayed on. The blades were spotless. We used the wire cleaning mechanism on the unit a couple dozen times. Removed and reinserted the blades, but could not make it work.

This product is a cheap imitation. If you’re after quality that lasts, this isn’t it. Go back to or check out the unit from www.SparoProducts.com or www.ionictower.com. We’re going to try the latter since the product is rather expensive.
