I had two motivations - cleaner air and to help eliminate allergies and breathing problems.

We saw it at Target and compared some pricing with the other makes and models. We decided to try this one for the price and the benefits it promised.

There are three speeds - low, medium, and high. The low is almost inaudible, but does a good job filtering the air. The room we use it in is our living room and it is a medium size room and has a small kitchenette off to the side it seems to work in both areas. We keep it on medium speed and it can be loud, so we put it back on low before bedtime.

There is also an ionizer on this unit. It is turned on by a separate toggle switch. A green light glows when the ionizer is on. Ionizers create a negatively charged particle that causes the positively charged particles to bind to them. This cleans your air along with the air filtering through the hepa filter.

We have used this product for a few months and are very satisfied. It has worked really well so far, but the allergens in the air still seem to cause breathing problems. You do have to change the filter, and clean it for maximum results.

This product has a good warranty, and the filters are easy to obtain. The only disadvantage is the filters can be costly. They start at around $22.00 each. You can purchase the refills at the store you purchased the product from, or purchase the filters at several online stores. You can do a search on www.google.com and it should find several businesses you can purchase from.

This purifier is an off white in color. It is only about four inches wide so it fits conveniently just about anywhere. We keep ours on our end table.

For the quality, and value I recommend HEPAtech 65.
