I picked up this unit after doing a fair amount of research on eopinions.com, and cross-referencing my findings with local stores (Ontario, Canada). I ended up finding one at a local Canadian Tire store, on sale no less (came out to just a hair over $260 after tax). Upon getting the unit home, following the setup instructions, etc. I got the unit up and churning, but quickly noticed a problem:

When the unit is down on the lowest speed (in my relatively cramped living quarters, the only viable setting) the unit wobbles back and forth, like my washing machine when the load is completely unbalanced. Upon closer inspection, it was clear that the drum fan inside the unit was not completely round. I quickly took the unit back to a different Canadian Tire store, and got a replacement. The second unit had the same problem. I ended up calling Kaz (the people who actually manufacture the unit) and their support line simply said “its extremely quiet, that shouldn’t be happening, take it back”, so I did.

I now sit here typing this review, with the *third* unit (in four days), wobbling to the extent it can be seen giggling from across the room. Looks like I need to find another model, as this isn’t acceptable.
