I have only had this Purifier for 2 weeks so I can not give too much advice on it. I was in the market for an air purifier (cleaner) and like most people I was intrigued by the thingy (with the gp).

After much research I was still unsure until I read a few reviews on here about the c-90a. One reviewer mentioned that consumer reports had rated this as their top cleaner for a few years in a row. So I decided to log on to http://www.consumerreports.com (since I had been a member of it already). Not only did they rate this good or better in every category but one .Which is the one draw back, when its on high it is a little loud. Not too loud that you can’t hear, but loud enough to be a little annoying. I usually keep it on medium or low anyway.

You can see it working; the amount of air that gets pushed through this machine is incredible. Unlike the , which barely has a breeze coming out of it on high. Now I’m no scientist but isn’t air supposed to go through the cleaning rods (or whatever they are) in order to get cleaned?

We have a decent size cat, and since we have this air cleaner I have noticed that I don’t see his hair flying around the house any more. The couch doesn’t seem to have a lot of hair from him on it either. It is supposed to Work real quick on smoke , pet dander dust mites and more.

I have been using this air purifier for a little over 3 weeks now and I am extremely happy with it. I think it has mad a big difference in the air in my home. I have moved it around every once in a while to a different room. After a while if it’s been running continuously you will smell a faint odor in the air. My wife says it has a light bleach smell, which I am finding out happens with almost all air purifiers that use ionic action to clean the air. It is not at all unpleasant to me. I have it down in the basement (same room as the litter box) and you can not even smell the litter box anymore in that room. I will update this as I find out more about this product. I am still very happy with it and I think I made the right choice with this. I just wish it was a little smaller. It looks like a large cat , but I am willing to look past this with the results that I am getting from it.

After the 8 days of rain we just had last week up here on Long Island N.Y. I have been using this now for a week straight. We had gotten over 25 gallons of water that came into the basement at the foundation. after sucking it up with the dry vac the carpet was still damp . I used my extractor to clean the rug but we were still getting the moldy smell. Being that it is the basement with only one window we didn’t get that much ventilation. After a few days i took the air purifier out of the bedroom and brought it downstairs. Within a few hours that smell was gone. We had tried quite a few things to mask the smell before i remembered this powerful machine and brought it down.

The drawback still is that there is nothing that monitors the air to see if it needs to be on or not. I know some of the air cleaners go on and off when needed but this one doesn’t. Over all this is still a great air purifier and i am happy with the purchase.
