My experience with Blueair, (a Medwing company), has been terrible. First off, I didn’t notice one change after running the system for two days straight at full blast. Actually, I take that back. I noticed two things: 1) the room smelled exactly the same, except for it being accompanied with an “industrial,” metal-like smell from the unit, and 2) it also left an ash-like substance all over my hardwood floors. I’ll note that I was using the StopSmoke filters for a light hint of smoke in the room.
When I contacted the company to express my interest in returning the product, the fun began. Not only did they repeated try to call me via phone to sell me different filters instead of immediately accommodating my wish to return the unit and supplemental filter sets, but….buyers should be aware that they do not cover the expense of returning the item. In fact, not only is this product now on its way back to them today at my expense, …but the “free shipping” I was offered to GET it here is now being charged to my credit card. What a deal, huh?
My personal feeling on it is — any company that does not provide pre-paid returns at their expense is doing it for a reason. They must get a lot of returns. I think their hidden “policy” speaks for itself.
So, it cost me money to discover their product is worthless. And, their representatives have been highly unprofessional in dealing with my dissatisfaction, even insisting that I haven’t given it enough time to do its magic. It should, as a consumer, be good enough for me to say, I just don’t feel this high-cost purchase is up to my standards.
I feel scammed and I strongly recommend you purchase a purification system from a different company. Stay away from Blueair and Medwing.
