Ok, after much consideration, I am revamping my original review, which was a little harsh, to tell you how much I’ve really enjoyed this little machine over the past couple of months.

The Scentstories system is designed for those who don’t want to bother with candles. With 6 “themed” discs and 3 limited edition discs, there is certainly a wide range to choose from, depending on your taste. As for the player itself, I love it. Its compact design lets you put it virtually anywhere without it cluttering precious space. It also features an “intensity level” button that can take it from high, to medium, to low, depending upon the size of your space or how prominent you want the scent to be. A tiny fan circulates the scent, and every 30 minutes, the disc rotates to the next “chapter” of the story. After 2 1/2 hours, the player shuts itself off, or you have the option to turn it off at anytime.

As for the discs, they are as follows:

SHADES OF VANILLA:

SHADES OF VANILLA is a wonderful trip through 5 different vanilla scented tracks, which are all different, and all smell wonderful.

WANDERING BAREFOOT ON THE SHORE:

Now, this disc is interesting because the tracks don’t really evoke the sense of being at the beach, but it still smells very fresh and inviting.

STROLLING THROUGH THE GARDEN:

STROLLING THROUGH THE GARDEN is a trip through a floral garden and include such floral scents as a bouquet of roses, fresia, and honeysuckle. The only problem with this disc is the “Honeysuckle” track smells like plastic.

ON A TROPICAL ISLAND:

This is one of my least favorite discs because, even though it is fruity and refreshing, it can be a little over-powering and a few of the tracks resemble orange cleaner.

RELAXING IN THE HAMMOCK:

RELAXING IN THE HAMMOCK evokes a feeling of relaxation with scents like “Soothing Tea” and “Tranquil Vanilla”. This is one of my personal favorites.

EXPLORING A MOUNTAIN TRAIL:

By far, this is the worst smelling disc in the series, which is a shame, because it is the disc that comes with the player. EXPLORING A MOUNTAIN TRAIL resembles products you might find under your kitchen sink.

SHANIA’S WISHES FOR SPRING (LIMITED AVAILABILITY):

I don’t really understand the point of this disc, but it smells refreshing none the less. The scents, which include, “Breezes Through The Window” and “Hanging Sheets on the Line” really remind me of the lovely scents of Spring.

CELEBRATE THE HOLIDAYS (LIMITED EDITION):

Hands-down, the BEST disc in the collection (also the one that is no longer available in stores, unless you find it on eBay) warms your home with scents of Holiday Pies and Cranberry Cider.

BREEZES THROUGH A CLOTHESLINE (AVAILABLE ONLY IN THE LIMITED EDITION HOLIDAY GIFT SET):

If you could find this disc on eBay, BID ON IT! Each track smells like a different type of linen and leaves your home or office space smelling of fresh laundry.

With all these different discs, there is certainly something for everybody! Yet another great innovation from the people at !
