The price : $200.00OK, a gourmet cook I am not. Yes, I burned a bag of microwave popcorn…badly…so badly that we had to evacuate our home and the fire dept. was called! The microwave was black. Our kitchen counters were covered with black soot. The house was filled with smoke, and the next day, the odor was so strong that we couldn’t stand it. We bought this air purifier at Wal-Mart for $193. It seemed like a small price to pay in hopes of making our home inhabitable again. And, it worked! It completely eliminated the awful odor within a day. We leave it running constantly now, and the air in the great area of our home is so nice. The entire family has noticed that our allergies are better. It’s easy to use, and has a very low sound. The sound reminds me of a small oscillating fan. I actually find it to be rather soothing. It takes care of a large area in our home - kitchen, study, great room. We are planning to purchase another one of these to purify the air in the other side of our home.
