We purchased a three pack of these filters from Sam’s club hoping to make our house more air quality friendly for our new baby, but after closer monitoring of our power bill noticed they were about triple what they had been for the prior season. Our house is about a year old so we could easily rule out old appliances. For the money, you could probably do better buying HEPA filters for your home air ducts. In fact, ours now has the duty of being a white noise generator for our baby instead of an air purifier.
There are 2 different ways to make neg ions. The cheapest way is to use Ozone which generates neg ions. The other way…is to make actual neg ions. Using Stainless Steel pin points. Note, the Ionic breeze is actually making ozone gas-but results in neg ions also. But note there is no stainless steel pins sticking out! These hunters DO NOT generate ozone gas.
