Holmes Smoke Grabber Ash Tray
Pros: Does a good job at pulling in the direct smoke as tobacco products sit in the tray. Battery operation.
Weaknesses: Metal contacts that complete the circuit are weak.
Have owned two of these, one is already in the trash. (Fortunately they are relatively inexpensive) The unit does it’s job “when it works.” The contacts that complete the cirucit to turn on the fan when the lid is raised often bend, or loose contact with motion. With the one that still survives, I have to manually make contact for the fan to run. It’s quite annoying. Needs more strenth or better contact system. Would be better for the home with an occasional smoker, does not hold up under frequent use.
