Air Purifier
Pros: Great HEPA air purifier
Weaknesses: kind of stand out in the room, noticeable
This is a HEPA air filter, which as many people know is known for being a top of the line filtration system. It is a great air purifier, and I used it after cleaning a dusty room. It really does help, and besides the white stand out color and the size, it is a great air purifying system.

Weaknesses: Noisy at the two highest fan speeds
I moved into a room that had a significant smoky smell and lots of dust left by the previous occupant. I left it on for 2 days on the highest fan setting and it has significantly reduced the smoky smell and dust.
Usually a layer of dust would accumulate on the table after 2-3 days, but with this purifier on, there is only a little. After around a week of use, the smoky smell has almost disappeared.
Now I leave it running on the quiet fan setting 24/7, and it is pretty unobtrusive and I can sleep with it switched on. However, the medium and high fan settings are extremely loud. You can only use them when you are away from the room to do extra cleaning.
I think it is reasonably value for money given the benefits. Note that it works well only for 10′ x 10′ rooms or smaller. The high fan speeds can be used when you are away from the room.

High setting is as noisy as a jet engine.
Great little air cleaner if you can get it cheap after rebate. It does a great job and obviously works by the way the filter looks when I replace/clean it. I leave it on low and I don’t even notice it. If I am cleaning/dusting I’ll crank it up to high temporarily. Don’t use the ion feature much as it is near my audio equipment and I’m not sure if that would affect anything.

I like the look and got it from NewEgg, spuer quick delievery.
I put it into my little office, which is aound the size of 10′X11′, and turned this little machine on for the whole afternoon.
I used to sneeze several time after I stay in this little office (carpeted) for more than 30 minutes. And now no more sneeze.
Nice Bedroom Filter
Pros: Reasonably priced HEPA air filter.
Weaknesses: Can only run on low unless you have a hearing problem.
(Edited May 22nd by BILLYGOATS) I purchased this filter @ a great price. The refill that shipped separately is not a HEPA filter. This unit does an adequate job in my bedroom and is certainly better than no filter at all. It is not too large nor is it compact. I would recommend buying this if you are on a budget and need something to help with your allergies.
A Nice Little Air Purifier that keep on Chugging
Pros: Affordable, Solid Built, Come with Free Combo air filters refiller
Weaknesses: Run EXTREMELY LOUD on any other mode but quiet.
This is a nice unit purchased from Newegg; come with free air filter refill. The unit seemed solidly built and does it job nicely. The room feel much cleaner with the machine running, less runny nose and scratchy eyes. The only issue being the extremely loud noise of the fan running; you will notice this if set on anything but quiet mode (which itself is ok but not exactly quiet). Overall, for the money, this unit is handout, unbeatable.
Noisy Purifier
Pros: At its max power, it may be efficient.
Weaknesses: Too noisy to be really useful.
It’s almost impossible to use the max power. The noise level would be too high for me (or any one else I believe) to be in the same room with this equipment. So I have to turn to the “quiet mode”. In this mode, I don’t feel much difference it makes. Since I never use this purifier at the max power mode for a long time, I can’t tell its efficiency in this mode. I did feel something different though.
Good buy, works as expected

It’s a good purifier for small-sized room. We use it in our bedroom on minimal speed overnight and it causes no disturbance. High-speed mode is pretty loud but that’s what you pay for efficiency. I’m not sure about Ionizer feature - may be the air in our bedroom not dirty enough to see the difference between “ionized” and “not-ionized” modes. All I can say that Ionizer functions - after few minutes you can feel micro-discharges when you touch the purifier’s intake.

I’ve been using this as a compliment to another larger air cleaner I have and have been pleased. I use this one in my bedroom and I notice a difference when I leave it on overnight and wake up - my nasal passage ways are always clearer. It seems to do a good job keeping the air clean - I just moved into a new place that was previously owned and so even though there’s new paint and cleaned carpets, there’s still quite a bit of dust that gets kicked up from the shades, etc. The DAP70 seems to be doing the job though.
The only downside is that it’s noisy on the highest setting and is a bit awkwardly shaped. But on the lowest setting it makes for really great “white noise”

There are of course the benefits and weaknesses of a fan driven, HEPA unit as compared to something like the Ionic Breeze. The HEPA unit such as this is better at drawing in air (due to fan) and filtering it but the drawback is the noise. However, this unit is tolerable on silent mode. The other, more significant drawback is that you have to replace parts every few months. I purchased this unit for about $30 after unit and they sell replacement filters but I anticipate that replacement parts will be increasingly difficult to acquire.

I have been running this machine for the past one week in my bedroom. Even though I don’t have pets or kids (yet =).. I can tell the difference in air quality when I enter the room. It’s now getting to a point, that I am taking it for granted. It comes recommended from the manufacturer to run it on ‘Low’, continuously. If you turn it up to Med or High… the noise if definitely noticeable. But you are most likely not gonna run it on those settings for too long anyway. Mine came with a free pre-filter.. and a great price. I’m pretty happy with it.
A efficient and economical choice

Weaknesses: It runs very noisy on high speed, you barely hear anything other than the machine. Not using a reusable HEPA filter means you have to buy filter every now and then. It’s only suitable for a small room
I am using the purifier in a 14ft by 14ft small room. Given that this is a small space I don’t know how it would perform in a large bedroom. If you are concerned about the amount of noise this may not be the filter for you. I run the filter on low most of the time except when I am vacuuming my house. For a entry level air purifier user, it is a efficient and economical choice.
